Couture week is in full effect, and as always the Chanel show has lived up to Gabrielle’s name. The Grand Palais in Paris was transformed in a way that only Karl Lagerfeld and the team at Chanel can master.
The beautiful sparkling fountains and green below the silhouette of one of the most beautiful monuments of the world, the Eiffel Tower, was recreated inside the spacious Grand Palais. This perfect backdrop complimented the gorgeous structured and feminine tweed suiting that graced the runway.
The collection embodied a balance of masculine lines in the shoulders of many of the garments with blush feminine colors, delicate fabrics, and intricate beading. Below are some of the top designs from the show.
Couture runway shows are always the highlight of fashion month, and the Chanel presentation is still one of the most significant reasons why this season is no exception. The craftsmanship not only by the designer and seamstress’, but also the set designers and coordinators go above and beyond what many smaller houses can fathom. As the month goes on, this show will be hard to outshine.
