The images are part of Raf Simons new global campaign for Calvin Klein, centering around family. Even though they’re one of the most loved/hated families in the country, (right next to the Trumps of course) they have a strong modern family unity, that is hard to ignore.
Shot by Willy Vanderperre, at a secret location in Los Angeles the images showcase the sisters in a barn-like setting posing together wearing different pieces from the new collection. The way family unity is portrayed is what drew them to the movement. “We’re definitely a modern family, and Calvin Klein embodies Americana,” Kourtney told Vogue.
They aren’t the first to star in the brand’s new family-oriented jeans, and underwear campaigns, the images have been rolling out on social media since November. The first photos featured Kelela and Dave Hynes, the second the A$AP Mob, and the third Kaia and Presley Gerber.
Every campaign was shot with the same rustic charm, showcasing Calvin Klein’s patchwork blankets. The sisters were a fan of Simons artistic direction from the very beginning.
“Raf had this American vision in a barn with my family,” Kim stated to which Kendall added “Everything we wore, the ranch where we shot it-it was all iconic.”
The whole collection screams Calvin Klein 90s heyday era. Think classic minimalism with bras, tanks, and boy-shorts, starring the brand’s signature logo on a white or black band. Meanwhile, the jeans had a western feel with uniform stripes and cowboy detailing.
Khloe, who was pregnant during the shoot hopes the images will cast light on the family’s genuine love for one another. “The bond we share is infectious,” she states. “Even though we pick on each other like normal siblings, we are each other’s biggest supporters. . . I want people to see unity, loyalty, and strength. We’re a mix of everything, and I think family is the ultimate American dream.”
Love them or hate them the Kardashian-Jenner sisters are here to stay.
