Concert goers yet again have something to look forward to this Spring. Indie-rock band, Modest Mouse just revealed their noble return with a U.S. tour.
The band formed in Issaquah, a sleepy Washington suburb. Evolving their signature sound while in a place often isolated and closed off, was their foundation for inspiration. Eventually, their ideas projected the indie crusaders to rise to their fame. The mid-2000s was perhaps their highest creative peak. During that time hit singles such as “Ocean Breathes Salty” and especially “Float On” became instant favorites. Their 2004 album, Good News for People Who Love Bad News in which those songs derive from earned two Grammy nominations.
It seems as if their spark never dwindled down. More recently, the band dropped their album “Strangers To Ourselves,” in 2015. Unleashing the singles “Lampshades On Fire” and “The Ground Walks, with Time in a Box.” Once again, producing songs we can’t seem to escape from. So it’s no surprise that fans are ecstatic to hear the news of a tour later this year.
Lead singer, Isaac Brock and company will start off their journey April 18 in Birmingham and wraps up July 15 in Louisville. Tickets for those attending the first show will be on sale Saturday via their official website. The band is also encouraging fans to sign a petition which will campaign to help block off the forest service in the Green River Valley in Colorado, from granting mining permits. A list of the full dates and tour locations are listed below. The latest updates can be found on the bands official website as well.
