X Ambassadors drop new video and announce “Joyful” Tour

Joyful groove

The X Ambassadors are back with more soulful tunes in 2018. The platinum rock group is headlining their “Joyful” tour this spring.

If you haven’t heard of the platinum band, you have been missing out on what can only be called as an experience. The group who just released the first single “Joyful” from their new album Joyful, will be headlining their own tour this spring in partnership with REVERB, a nonprofit that works with musicians and their fans to create measurable positive change for people and the planet. REVERB will be at every show running the X Ambassadors Action Zone. Fans will have the opportunity to learn more about the band’s cause efforts and take action to support them.

The powerful song exemplifies a feel-good,  uplifting vibe.  The soulful voice of lead singer Sam Harris backed by the beautiful sounds of Casey Harris’ piano, the drums of  Adam Levin, a dynamic choir, and Sam’s smooth sax; it is hard to keep from feeling the mood.

In current times, it is refreshing to find a band making such unapologetically stripped down and vulnerable music that is genuinely moving. Sam Harris revealed on the groups Instagram page that the song was about getting over heartbreak.

“What does it mean to be Joyful? I wrote this song as a reminder to myself. And to try and learn how to forgive someone. A heartbreak never fails to pull the rug out from under your feet. The pain is always unrecognizable, no matter what shape or form it takes. But heartbreak can be strangely comforting, and can bring a certain clarity to things. You start to recognize what you can and can’t control– to forgive yourself a little, and to take in the beauty of the world around you.”

The song, as well as the message behind it, are beautiful. After watching the video above, needing to see them live is a natural progression. The dates for the X Ambassadors “Joyful” 2018 tour are below.
