It is no secret that in more recent times that Louisiana has become quite the hotbed for violent street culture and mortally dangerous rap beefs. One of the most notorious of these beefs has been the one between Baton Rouge based rapper Boosie Badazz and Kevin Gates.
However, as a jaw dropping surprise to many the two rappers finally seem to have resolved their differences and buried the hatchet.
The beef originally started when back in 2009 when Nussie, an affiliate of Gates was murdered and that Boosie had ordered at hit on him and was found not guilty.
Things came to a head when in 2016 the camps of both Gates and Boosie got into a fight at Derby Takeover Pt. 2 in Louisville.
Boosie took to Instagram in the last day or so to announce that he has been talking to Gates and that he is trying to get his new friend into the first annual Boosie Bash in Louisiana. In the video Boosie posted, he says:
“Talked to Gates earlier. Trying to get that boy to come to that Boosie Bash. Tryin’ to pull it off for him. Gotta let the man travel. Man gotta pay his taxes.”
Gates was recently released from prison on parole for a 30 month sentence that he served nine of and is now put on mandatory supervision for a weapons related warrant he had out for him.
Gates now has travel restrictions while on probation, but Boosie is trying to help him work things out so that he can come and perform at Boosie Bash.
Boosie Bash will take place at Southern University in Baton Rouge on March 10.
It will also include performances from Youngboy Never Broke Again, YFN Lucci, Blac Youngsta, The Badazz Music Syndicate, Level, and other southern rappers.
