London Grey is the exception to all the rules.
When artists debut on the indie scene it’s typical to watch their careers marinate before pushing them into the belly of the world.
Then there are artists like Grey that step up with some thing that is so creative and timely that it requires immediate attention.
Not quite a singer, or a rapper, Grey flexes over aggressive and brutally honest soundtracks.
His debut single “3 Days” is a decadent and nihilistic view into the heart and soul of youth culture. Suitable for mosh pits and rap ciphers, this a sound that is uncomfortable yet addicting.
When speaks of vices he also subtlety details the darkness that envelops those choices.
The Atlanta native by way of Florida is sharing a life that has built upon seeing the struggles of both the lower and middle classes.
When speaking with Salute, Grey revealed that he is wrapping up his untitled project (due in September) that will feature more of the same blistering heat that fuels his single.
“This project is life, Grey said “It’s born and then lives and eventually ends. I try to bring my music to life. I want fans to feel the energy in the air that gave me the inspiration to make what they are listening to.
Whether my projects are detailed stories or a collection of moments and rides you’ll feel each song.
They’re are alive and will make you feel alive. My upcoming project is everything in my life summed up to the moment I finished the last track.
My goal is to make something legendary that passes the test of time and to make 2018 one hell of a year for me and music to remember.”
Grey previewed some of the material with Salute and it can be stated firmly that he has a collection of bangers.
