Tom Ford brings a new meaning to luxury with his lavish beauty campagin, EXTRÊME, featuring models Karen Elson and Imari Karanja. The designer released the 20 enchanting eye shadows during last night’s celebration at the Public Hotel.
Known for opulent designs and starting risky trends, Ford is taking the same approach in his cosmetics line. Ford incorporated a rich foil and glitter in the eye shadows, bringing a bold and nostalgia of a glamorous night in New York City. Although from Los Angeles, the designer knew exactly how to reflect New York’s city lights to bring the bold, daring look to life.
The preview took place in the rooftop bar, with an unforgettable view of Manhattan’s skyline, along with delicacies for guests. The guests also had the opportunity for a first look of Ford’s campaign for Extrême. Directed by Steven Klein, models, Elson and Karanja, starred in the campaign and were present during the preview. Even with previously having a glimpse of the beauty line, Elson and Karanja were dazed at Ford’s ability to astonish fans of the brands.
“It was unlike any other beauty shoot I’ve done,” Elson told Vogue, wearing the Tom Ford Extreme number 7 shade of eyeshadow with a metallic lip color.
Ford’s designs are constantly redefining confidence in a woman’s wardrobe. The designer is no stranger to bringing unique colors and patterns to display elegance.
The beauty line also includes four lash and brow tints as well. After seeing much of metallics and sequins in his show this week at New York Fashion Week, it will be no surprise that Ford’s cosmetic line will contrast glam and sophistication as well. Even Ford knows, confidence is the perfect accessory for the modern woman.
The collection will be available to buy beginning March 5.
