The Power of the Universe is Scattered in Marvel’s Infinity Countdown

Marvel Comics announces the connecting titles to the Infinity Countdown storyline.

The next big thing for the Marvel Universe is taking over through INFINITY COUNTDOWN a comic book storyline piloted by writer Gerry Duggan. The Marvel Universe will encounter the power of all six Infinity Stones once more.

The connecting titles to the movement will be CAPTAIN MARVEL #1, DAREDEVIL #1, and DARKHAWK featuring his own four issue miniseries. The comics will release in stores everywhere this May 2018.

Each hero will encounter an infinity stone with immense power. The stones have separate energies reflecting the properties of Mind, Reality, Power, Space, Time, and Soul.

The creative teams behind the different titles vary between the writer and artist. Captain Marvel will possess the Reality Stone as writer Jim McCann and artist Diego Olortegui shape her fate. Her obstacles come in the form of Thanos and Nebula as she travels through different realties across space and time.

In the streets of New York City the Mind Stone emerges. In Hell’s Kitchen, the man without fear, Daredevil, must save his city, as the stone’s energy is unleashed. Gerry Duggan and Chris Sprouse work together to have the Devil encounter godlike power.

The next connecting story arc will feature Darkhawk as his struggle centers on the Power Stone. In the midst of battling the Fraternity of Raptors only Darkhawk defends New York from total destruction. The imagination of Chris Sims, Chad Bowers, and Gang Hyuk Lim shall bring forth a unique tale for Darkhawk. The hero’s quest for justice is at hand when dealing with energy beyond the human race.

These comics will release this May 2018, as the INFINITY COUNTDOWN will bring the cosmos closer to the brink of cataclysmic chaos. Impending questions will be answered for the countdown has begun for the stones are activated.

The Infinity Stones made their debut appearance within Marvel Comics back in the 1970s. The Thanos War storyline used the talents of Mike Friedrich, Jim Starlin, Steve Englehart, and John Buscema.

Together these creators forged one of the most influential weapons or tools known throughout comic book history, The Infinity Stones. The name of the stones has changed over time since its original origins under Soul Gems until later becoming the modern name we know today.

The Stones have made numerous appearances through several mediums including comic books, television, videogames, and films. The upcoming film Avengers: Infinity War to release this year May 4th, 2018 will highlight the power of the stones and center on the main antagonist for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Thanos.
