Limp Bizkit guitarist Wes Borland has revealed new music in the making, with Blink 182‘s Travis Barker behind the drums. The new yet-to-be-titled project is a secret that has everybody on the edge of their seats.
Last year, the nu-metal artist resurrected his project Big Dumb Face, bringing forth a second album Where Is Duke Lion? He’s Dead…. catching fans off guard with a sudden return. After a 16-year absence heads were turning, so the anticipation for a joint effort accompanied by Barker is one to keep an eye on.
The unexpected alliance was revealed when Borland turned to Instagram to share studio footage of Barker on drum duties, an obvious hint confirming it’s really happening. Just a day later, he posted yet another tease on the sudden collaboration.
“Doing drums with the man himself Travis Barker on a yet to be titled new project!” said Borland. “Wrote seven song in 12 hours. That’s a new record. More drums from Travis Barker to come,” he added.
In an interview with NME, the 43-year-old goes into depth on why he returned after being off the radar for such a long period of time to pick up on Big Dumb Face so out of the blue. It became apparent, that he was stepping out of his boundaries to produce fresh deliverance again.
“Well, one of the things is that I said I’d never do it again – and I’m into doing things now that I said I would never do again,” Borland explains.
Though no further details have been announced as of yet, the vision for a new album looks promising.
