Michelle Obama sings her love for Barack.
This year, much like every year since the Obamas became household names, Michelle and Barack Obama are sending their love to one another across social media platforms for the world to see. Michelle tweeted a surprise for her “one and only.”

This Valentine’s Day, the former first lady took to the popular streaming service Spotify to send her love via song. The love filled playlist, titled “Forever Mine,” is quite eclectic in its selections from classics such as “Maggie May” by Rod Stewart, “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love, Baby” by Barry White, “At Last” by Etta James, the song Beyonce covered during the former president’s inauguration ball, and “Endless Love” by Diana Ross.
Of course, Beyonce herself made the cut twice with “Halo” and her feature on Justin Timberlake’s “Until the End of Time” which was included in his halftime performance at the Super Bowl. The diverse playlist also features Cyndi Lauper, Alabama Shakes, Michael Jackson, Calvin Harris, Rihanna, Ed Sheeran, Kendrick Lamar, Florence and the Machine, Whitney Houston, Adele’s “Make You Feel My Love” and “Marry You” by Bruno Mars.
And of course, no love song playlist is complete without the current king of love songs John Legend.
Mrs. Obama doesn’t seem to have a preference when it comes to her music. Quite a few different genres are represented and it makes one wonder how much of that is her own finding or the influence of her daughter’s Sasha and Malia.
Michelle and Barack continue to prove that they are in touch with older and younger generations and that they embrace their part of the digital landscape society lives in. It’s clear that the Obamas have a deep love and adoration for each other and that each song was specifically curated for her husband.
The 44 song, 3 hour playlist can be found on the Spotify homepage.
