Coheed and Cambria launches co-headlining tour with Taking Back Sunday

Kicking it back to 2005

Coheed and Cambria is bringing on the nostalgia.

It was announced today via Twitter that Coheed and Cambria will be hitting the road with Taking Back Sunday this summer.

The bands, who have never fully toured together beyond mass artist tours and festivals, are coming together for a 28-date jaunt across North America with stops in New York, Miami, Chicago and Irvine, California. However, dates don’t seem to extend to the Pacific Northwest or Northern states causing fans to have to travel for the closest date should they wish to attend.

With the announcement of this co-headlining tour, and the announcement of The Story So Far as the opening act for the entirety, that eliminates three fan favorite bands from the very hush hush lineup for the final jaunt of the Van’s Warped Tour. The closeness of the dates also allows for little wiggle room and likely knocks all three bands out of playing any special dates.

Neither Coheed, whose last album The Color Before the Sun was released in 2015 nor TBS, whose last album was 2016’s Tidal Wave, have announced new records, so fans can expect their extensive back catalogs as the setlist for this show. However, both may be utilizing this tour as a means of testing new tracks and seeing the response.
