Live from New York, it’s Migos on Saturday Night Live

Serving Stir Fry to NYC

Migos is bringing their “Stir Fry” to SNL.

Everything is coming up Migos. After Quavo was announced the celebrity game MVP and the group performed alongside the return of N.E.R.D. during the halftime performance during the NBA All-Star Weekend, the rap group finds themselves with something else to celebrate.

Pop culture phenomenon and weekend staple Saturday Night Live announced the lineup for the first three weeks of March via Twitter.

On Saturday March 3rd, Migos will be the musical guest as NBA analyst and former player Charles Barkley hits the famous stage as host.

The group will be performing tracks off of their new album Culture II which debuted at no. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this month, including their current smash hit “Stir Fry.” Migos shouldn’t feel too much pressure as Pitchfork reminds fans that they previously performed alongside host Katy Perry.

The long-standing New York and entertainment institution started in 1975 and has grown into a right of passage for not only the hosts, but the performers as well. It’s an opportunity to show an even larger audience what you’re capable of and maybe gain some new fans in the process.

It’s also always a hope that the musical guest will be interested in stretching their acting legs and will participate in a sketch. Harry Styles impersonated Mick Jagger on an episode last year, The Food Fighters always wind up in a sketch and fan favorite Justin Timberlake dressed in a string of different mascot costumes and sang jingles.

Could it be that there will be a Chinese restaurant sketch and Migos is serving up the Stir Fry? Tune in to SNL on NBC Saturday March 3rd at 11:30 EST to find out.
