Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti killed their latest collaboration “Bankroll”
Lil Uzi Vert and Playboi Carti are back with another collab track that harmonizes like like the chillest R&B and grooves like rapid fire hip-hop, “Bankroll”.
This song is a modern version of a croon – essentially a love song with a more current urban vibe.
Uzi spends his hook during “Bankroll” singing in that smooth modern autotune style of his about a girl he is over the moon for and is actively chasing after, the drama surrounding the whole situation, and all of the weed he is smoking and Xanax he is taking to be able to relax and deal with it all.
Carti then comes in with his rap verses about making sure he keeps his bankroll as high in numbers as possible while also bragging about all of the luxuries that his current bankroll is affording him.
He raps of stuff like how many diamonds he has, the convertible he drives, how he can keep people on his payroll to do whatever he wants them to, how he can get the best drugs, and how he can get the dentist to give a dazzling set of choppers.
Tying it together seamlessly is DP Beats who co-produced the track with Greedy Money. The pair’s masterful ears cooked up a soulful beat.
“Bankroll” is one of many releases the duo have been putting out over the past year, the latest being “Squad (Firearm)” and the visuals to “Lookin”. This is presumed to be because the two of them are reportedly working on a new mixtape 16*29 together.
