Rich the Kid’s highly anticipated debut album now has a release date
After years of building up his credibility in the hip-hop game by putting out successful mixtape after successful mixtape, doing collaborations with other artists, and starting his own record label Forever Rich, 25 year old Atlanta native rapper Dimitri Leslie Roger, better known by his stage name Rich the Kid to the elation of fans is finally coming out with his debut album.
The yet to be titled album was announced back in January, but has now officially been slated for release on March 30.
The dope news came when on his Twitter yesterday afternoon Rich boldly and proudly professed it to the world with much excitement, saying:
MY ALBUM IS DROPPING 3/30🔥🔥🔥🔥
The album is said to feature guest spots from artists like Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, and many more.
Rich certainly has no lack of confidence whatsoever in his new record, as in a recent interview with XXL he expressed with no hesitation his optimistic feelings regarding it, saying:
“This will be the greatest album of 2018. Best hip-hop album — you heard it here! There’s no other rapper that will drop a better album than me. No one.”
Rich put out an immensely commercially successful single “New Freezer” with Kendrick Lamar back in September, which has since gone to gold status on the RIAA as of Feb 6, especially thanks to the “New Freezer” challenge that was put out on social media in order to give it more lift.
Rich and Lamar also performed the song at the 2018 Brit Awards, which also helped to further push it up on the charts.
Rich the Kid has a few upcoming US tour dates that can be found here.
Keep up with music at Salute.
