Future is being more selective about wife material.
Rapper Future surprised fans earlier this week when he dropped his brand new song “I.C.W.N.T.” which stands for “I Can’t Wife No Thot.”

“I.C.W.N.T.” is produced by 808 Mafia who has previously worked with Future on “March Madness” off of his 2015 “56 Nights” mixtape.
The song details how the rapper is fully capable of sleeping with whomever he chooses, but how he’s learning to be more selective in his choices. He realizes that he can’t just wife anybody up, especially someone who is just trying to use him for his fame.
Checkin’ bitches, they be on the Gram
Check her phone, I think she tryna scam
I ain’t tryna save these hoes, no thank you, ma’am
It’s an interesting contrast from the general discussion of salacious fans in rap music as he’s essentially saying, “This is a great time, but I couldn’t possibly marry someone like you.” The denigration is fascinating.
This is the first solo track that Future has released since his mixtape Super Slimey with Young Thug four months ago.
Since then, he has only appeared as a feature on tracks such as Tinashe’s “Faded Love”, Young Scooter’s “Trippple Cross” and just recently as part of the Black Panther album alongside Kendrick Lamar, Jay Rock and James Blake on the track “King’s Dead.”
It is possible this could be the first look at his next upcoming full-length LP. As Complex points out, speculation has been running rampant since early in the year when he deleted all of his posts off of Instagram.
While it’s not weird to want to start over on social media, Future pulled a similar stunt in 2017 just before the back-to-back release of FUTURE and HNDRXX.
No formal announcement has been made, but the timing of the cleanse would make sense with the release of “I.C.W.N.T.”
Keep up with music at Salute.
