To the bewilderment of fans, Jay-Z and Beyonce shared a joint tour date and then almost immediately retracted it
It can be frustrating and maddening to be tempted with something wonderful, only to have it snatched away for no apparent reason only a moment later. Such is the case right now for fans of musical power couple Beyonce and Jay-Z.
Followers have been pining for a possible “On the Run 2” tour for a long while now. When a date was finally posted for such a tour the internet went crazy.
The last time Jay-Z and Beyonce did a joint tour together was back in 2015, which of course was just titled “On the Run”.
However, much to the confusion of those same followers the date, which was supposed to take place July 30 at Philadelphia, Pa. at Lincoln Financial Field the date was moments later taken down from both Facebook as well as Ticketmaster earlier today (March 5).
People who were stoked for the cancelled show are understandably upset, especially considering no one from Beyonce’s nor Jay-Z’s camps have come forward to offer any sort of explanation for this incident to the public at press time.
A screen cap of the tour date on Beyonce’s Facebook page before it was mysteriously taken down can be seen below:
Queen Bey’s most recent studio solo effort was her 2016 album Lemonade, which was her sixth solo album. She will also be voicing the character Naala in the upcoming live action remake of the classic Disney animated film The Lion King.
Jay-Z’s latest solo effort was his 13th studio album 4:44.
Recently both Bey and Jay-Z lent their diverse musical talents on a DJ Khaled song along with Future called “Top Off”.
Keep up with music at Salute.
