Jessica Jones Season 2 Episodes Revealed Via Comic Book Covers.
The second season of Jessica Jones is set to hit the Netflix program queue this week. However, thanks to some amazing women artists we have a sneak peek at this season’s episode titles. Each comic book cover is illustrated by a woman and highlights the episode title and the female director at the helm.
The Jessica Jones Twitter account put out these, as seen above, pulp magazine/comic book covers. Each cover is beautifully drawn by a female artist and has the name of this season’s upcoming episodes in the order of which they appear. Although nothing is spoiler-ish per se, they do have little nods here and there to the larger Marvel universe. Such as episode 5’s cover showing an octopus which could or could not reveal a possible Hydra cameo (Hydra is the terrorist organization that battles Agents of SHIELD & Captain America.). Also, episode 12’s cover having an all purple background (a reference to Kilgrave who in the comic books was known as the Purple Man.)
The first season dealt with Jessica having to face her demons, the second is said to be the fallout from that. With Kilgrave dead, what will Jessica do now? How will the story progress? Season 2 will see Jessica Jones trying to solve the biggest mystery of her life. Herself.
Jessica Jones is an American television series created for Netflix by Melissa Rosenberg, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise and the other Netflix and Marvel Studios associated television shows.
Krysten Ritter stars as Jones, a former superhero who opens her own detective agency. Rachael Taylor, Eka Darville, and Carrie-Anne Moss also star in the Netflix/Marvel series. Jessica Jones returns Thursday, March 8th, when Netflix drops the entire second season.
