Long Island rap duo Eric B. and Rakim will be hitting the road for the first time in more than 20 years. The rap duo briefly reunited last year to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their seminal album, Paid in Full. Now, they appear to be gearing up for their first full-fledged tour in more than two decades.
The announcement was made on Twitter earlier today with the words, “it’s time to show you.”
The post, which stated that when they tweet it’s “real news” and “rather than 140 characters that end up in every hip-hop magazine and website around the world, we gonna show you what we mean. It’s just the beginning. More updates to follow [the leader].” It also featured an attached image with the following dates.
The tweet was later removed from social media, but not before releasing plans for 17-dates on their upcoming 2018 tour, running from April through the beginning of May. This may only be the first of many for the newly reunited twosome.
