Luke Cage, the hero of Harlem, is back

Marvel/Netflix‘s Luke Cage is back and ready to continue his mission to clean up the streets of Harlem. Now a household name, Cage is a community hero beloved and admired. However, with a spotlight of notoriety comes new challenges and enemies. Here is a synopsis of Luke Cage Season 2.

After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

The teaser for the upcoming season begins with a voice-over by Luke Cage. He barks at the camera reminding the viewers who he is and that anyone who comes against him can’t burn him, blast him, or break him. A montage shows Cage wreaking havoc on thugs and criminals. The teaser ends with Cage cautioning would-be offenders to not test him. But if they are tempted to, him up, because he’s right there.

Luke Cage, is a series created for Netflix by Cheo Hodari Coker. It is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe(MCU), sharing continuity with the films of the franchise and is the third in a series of shows that led to The Defenders crossover miniseries.

The series is produced by Marvel Television in association with ABC Studios, with Coker serving as showrunner. Mike Colter stars as Luke Cage, a former convict with superhuman strength and unbreakable skin who now fights crime and corruption. Simone MissickTheo RossiRosario DawsonThe character of Cage made his first debut on Marvel’s Jessica Jones before spinning off into his own series.

The first season was met with high praise and was heralded as one of Netflix‘s top programs of 2016. Season 2 hits the program queue June 22nd, 2018.
