ASOS is changing the Internet game and just launched a new app that gives us a new reason to check our phones. The British online fashion store is incorporating Style Match and upgrading the traditional filtering to help their customers find exactly what they’re looking for.
The mobile app is now available in the United States, allowing customers to search for a specific piece of clothing. With just uploading a picture from their camera roll or taking a picture in the moment, customers are now able to have their pictures matched up with the brand’s inventory. Showing similarities, the brand has 85,000 pieces in inventory and are adding 5,000 weekly since the launch.
The implementation was based on ASOS’ customer tendency to place orders and browse easily through their phones. The company’s digital product director, Andy Berks stated,
“We know this is where our customers are and it’s how they interact with us every day, so we’re always looking for mobile-native ways to make their experience even better.”
Considering the constant admiration for bloggers’ and influencers’ wardrobes, Style Match is an assistance to fashion lovers whose favorite clothing has sold out or “gotten away.” Anytime one sees a trendy skirt, or specific pattern that is seamlessly modish, ASOS is just a tap away. The company is expanding their tech team as well, by adding 200 more to their team of 900.
With much of the Internet becoming a primary source for the fashion industry, ASOS is a total game changer for considering the best for their customers. This upgrade just might set a new trend for chic designers at fast-retail stores.
Salute to you, ASOS.
