Pearl Jam are jamming away at a new album
Over the weekend, Seattle grunge legends Pearl Jam gave the members of their fan club a pleasant surprise by releasing a brand new single, “Can’t Deny Me”.
The single, which was released initially this past Sunday (March 10) to the fan club has since been made available to the general public for streaming and downloading across all major platforms.
As many have speculated, this single is in fact the announcement of a whole new album from Pearl Jam, which will be their first since 2013’s Lightning Bolt.
The track and album were co-produced by both Pearl Jam and long time producer and friend Brendan O’Brien, who has been with the band since their 1993 hallmarked classic Vs.
At press time there is no information as to what the name of the album will be, nor any indication as to when it might be released.
Starting tonight, the band will be kicking off a quick list of tour dates over in South America. Festivities will begin in Santiago, Chile, with Vedder doing a some solo dates during the off days.
Starting in June though, Pearl Jam is going to be cruising over to Europe for another brief run of shows, after which they will be coming back home to the US in August to tour some of the nation’s baseball stadiums.
Some of these will include Safeco Field in Seattle, WA, Wrigley Field in Chicago, IL, and Fenway Park in Boston, MA.
In an amusing, yet charming nod to baseball, the Seattle dates are being dubbed “home” while the others are being labeled as “away” dates.
Tickets and the full list of dates for the upcoming tour can be found and purchased here.
