Anyone who goes to the nail salon for manicures and pedicures on a regular basis knows the struggle to choose a color all too well. Upon arriving at the salon, you’re quickly told to pick a color. Instantly, you start sweating, scouring the seemingly identical shades of nail polish to find one that you won’t get sick of in 24 hours.
Inevitably, every shade seems to get old after awhile. Today’s column is meant to save you from this nail polish predicament and make your time at the salon much less stressful.
Here are the hottest nail polish shades for spring:
“Bubble Bath” is your new favorite light pink polish that will go with absolutely any ensemble. It’s a perfect shade of ballet slipper pink and doesn’t look too bubblegum or juvenile.
Do You Take Lei-Away is my favorite nude and a no-brainer when I’m sitting in the manicure chair. It’s a true taupe nude so it’s void of any peach or green undertones.
“Bon Boy-age” is a pastel shade from Essie’s Spring 2018 Collection. The nautical mint green looks amazing against any skin tone.
Every year during springtime I always find myself opting for “Do You Lilac It.” The light purple shade is a great pop of color while still remaining subtle and easy to match.
“Big Apple Red” is a true cherry red, void of any strawberry pink undertones. Red is a classic shade for any season.
“It’s A Boy” is a baby blue shade that was basically made for the spring. Unlike “Bon Boy-age” which has strong hints of mint green, this shade is a true light blue.
“Angora Cardi” is one of Essie’s most popular colors and for good reason. It’s a brilliant purple, dusty rose shade which is perfect for any season. If pastels aren’t your thing, “Angora Cardi” might be the answer to your nail polish prayers.
“Anchor Down” is a denim blue shade that makes a statement without appearing too dark or wintery.
“Perfect Mate” is a coral pink that will give you the perfect orange, pink shade despite whichever skin tone you posses.
Finding a perfect shade of white nail polish is no easy feat. Most colors are too pale and appear barely noticeable once applied to our nails. “Blanc” is a strong, true white that will show up perfectly after just a few coats.
