Swedish House Mafia returns to the very spot where they made their final appearance years prior…
It’s been five years since the electro house group Swedish House Mafia departed ways and gave their last farewell at Ultra Music Festival.
After much speculation whether they would return or not, the Stockholm trio made a grand return to celebrate Ultra’s 20th year anniversary in Miami, shaking up the crowd to the point where their reunion has become the center of attention among long-time fans.
The crew’s highly anticipated performance was the closeout for the festival’s main stage Sunday night (March 25) as the crew belted out old crowd favorites such as “Save The World,” “Miami 2 Ibiza,” and “Greyhound,” electrifying the room with their much-needed craving.
Swedish House Mafia then wrapped up the night with an encore of their single “One,” after fans chanted it by popular request.
When asked about the sudden return the band responded in three simple words:
“It was time.”

In which Swedish House Mafia member Axwell added:
“This time, it’s for life”
There was no better way to put it as Ultra has been the crew’s home from the very start in 2010 till their departure in 2013, so to be honored as special guests of the fest is one for the books.
Keep up with music at Salute.
