First Look: Netflix’s Troy Fall Of A City

BBC & Netflix team up for the epic miniseries, Troy: Fall Of A City.

Troy: Fall of a City is an ambitious collaboration between BBC and Netflix. The miniseries tells the story of the Trojan War and the love affair between Paris and Helen.

The miniseries consists of eight episodes in all.  It is written by David FarrNancy Harris, Mika Watkins, and Joe Barton, and directed by Owen Harris and Mark Brozel.

The miniseries stars Louis Hunter as Paris, Bella Dayne as Helen, Christiaan Schoombie as  Troilus, Jonas Armstrong as MenelausDavid Gyasi as  AchillesLex King as  Aphrodite, Hakeem Kae-Kazim as Zeus, Shamilla Miller as Athena, Joseph Mawle as Odysseus. Garth Breytenbach Alfred Enoch,  Johnny HarrisDavid Avery ,Lemogang Tsipa Chloe Pirrie Amy Louise Wilson Tom Weston-Jones, and  Inge Beckmann round out the cast of the epic miniseries. Here is the synopsis of Troy Fall of a City:

An epic story of love and war, intrigue, and betrayal. When Helen and Paris fall in love, they trigger a chain of events that threatens their families and the city of Troy.

The trailer begins introducing to the ancient time of swords and sandals. A dark rider treks across the land. A distant voice-over pronounces the emergence of the rediscovered son. The Prince of Troy. The love affair of Helen and Paris is depicted against a gloomy and treacherous time. A struggle is brewing.

When Paris takes Helen away from her husband, Menelaus, King of Sparta, it ignites the famed Trojan War. Epic scenes of warfare are depicted between the armies of Greece and Troy. A voice-over is heard explaining that this war will test them and if they lose faith, the city of Troy will fall.

BBC and Netflix’s Troy: Fall of a City hits the program queue April 6th, 2018.
