Off-White continues to take the fashion world up by a storm and collaborates with Nike once again for a new version of Nike’s Air Vapor Max, only this time in black. The iconic shoe makes a comeback from ‘The Ten’ with a slightly different color variation and the same Helvetica font we’ve all come to love.
Abloh seems to enjoy making history just as much as he loves designing. The designer was recently titled creative director of French fashion house, Louis Vuitton, making him the first African-American designer for its men’s line. Now, he’s introducing the futuristic Fly Knit upper with synthetic suede in a classic all black option. The shoe’s design consists of an icy blue feature, with a Flywire lacing system, and Air VaporMax unit for maximum comfort.
Using transparent designs and writing in white contrasted, Abloh doesn’t stray away from his vision for athleisure and certain aesthetics. The 37-year-old made his design distinguishable, quoting “AIR” and “SHOELACES” on the sneakers.
With classic sneakers making a comeback, Abloh has no trouble setting trends and letting one know the proper way to wear an iconic sneaker. Since last year’s announcement on ‘The Ten’ collaboration with Nike, the classics deconstructed by Abloh have displayed his potential as a designer. Shoe after shoe, the designer continues to impress his customers. What’s better than Nike Air Forces in every color? Leave it up to Abloh’s next design to answer the question.
The shoe retails for $250 and is to launch on Friday, Mar. 30th at 10 a.m. EDT.
