Stone Temple Pilots link up with Bush & The Cult for ‘Revolution 3’ tour

Erupting your ear drum’s x3

A trilogy that shaped the sound of alternative rock…

With the ratings of their latest self-titled LP Stone Temple Pilots up in the air with new front-man Jeff Gutt pulling the reins, many speculated if the album would be as successful as some of their past records. Fortunately the album was well-delivered to the public when it launched last month.

Now Stone Temple Pilots are joining forces with fellow rock veterans Bush and The Cult for a special tri-headlining tour dubbed “Revolution 3,” which is scheduled to take off early July.

This news is especially exciting, considering these three bands in particular were some of the original troopers to cut the first turf in the alternative rock scene.

In a press statement via Rolling Stone, Bush’s vocalist Gavin Rossdale expresses his excitement for the upcoming tour saying:

“We are looking forward to seeing everybody in the summer.”

STP’s Robert DeLeo adds:

“This is a great tour for rock fans.We are thrilled to join our friends this summer to celebrate our music with all of you.”

Chiming in The Cult’s Ian Astbury said:

“We look forward to celebrating glorious summer nights of responsible (and irresponsible) hedonism with all of you.”

Each band will perform full sets in which they refer to it as “revolving headline run,” meaning to rotate in different order’s each night.

They will also be in attendance for the tour’s opening party on April 3 in Los Angeles; in odd coincidence tickets will go on sale everywhere three days afterwards (April 6) via Live Nation.

The North American trek will begin July 18th in Nashville, TN and come to an end in Phoenix, Arizona on September 2nd, see below for the complete lineup of tour dates and locations.
