Coheed and Cambria shares teaser-clip into forthcoming album

‘Call Your Mother’

Man your battle stations as Coheed and Cambria are unleashing a cryptic project…

After recently sealing a deal with Roadrunner Records, along with various other metal heads under their wing, Coheed and Cambria posted a teaser-clip into what’s to come on their forthcoming ninth album, expected to drop sometime later this year.

The obscure video which was posted to YouTube doesn’t unveil many details, with the exception of a mysterious message posted in the description reading:

“Know now there is no time…

Space, between the Well and unknowing

Our story starts there

Well within our future

Yet far beyond our past

In a romance between a pair of unheavenly creatures…”

As many would have guessed, the subtle message could be a hint towards a continuation to their Amory Wars storyline, which started back in 2012 and since then grew into a creative outlet for the band to focus on new content.

So far the prog-rock pioneers published a saga of  thirty-two issues, outside of their 2015 non-conceptual album The Color Before the SunIt’s contemplated that they will finally issue another sometime soon.

In the visuals, an old hockey mask similar to the fictional Friday the 13th mask worn by Jason Voorhees is shown in a close-up view, over it the word’s “Call Your Mother,”are seen sprawled in graffiti paint.

Fans are speculating that this could perhaps be the name for the newest album in the works, or maybe a new ‘chilling’ track ready to launch in the next couple of weeks.

Whatever the case may be, it gives off Halloween vibes, maybe suggesting the album will be scheduled for release this upcoming October. It’s all uncertain for the moment, but fans are already riled up for when that day arrives.

Coheed and Cambria will also hit the road this summer for a co-headlining tour with Taking Back Sunday with their first stop being in Miami, on July 6, check out all the details revolving around the tour here.
