With the men’s market booming in business, it was surprising to learn of Gosha Rubchinskiy‘s announcement of his brand coming to an end. The Russian designer turned to Instagram, to announce that he just might have a different vision in the fashion industry.
Known for his elevated streetwear brand, Rubchinskiy’s designs typically contain skateboard aesthetics or soccer-inspired, with a touch of the Russian culture. Seasonal collections have shown his potential to take streetwear designs to another level. From sophisticated knit ties to unique double-breasted suits, the Russian designer knows exactly how to express individuality through designing; which is typically the concept behind streetwear brands.
Before turning to Instagram to announce the statement, Rubchinskiy’s interview with Hypebeast might have hinted his possible new endeavor. The designer stated,
“I’m a bit tired of doing season to season collections. I want to change the strategy and do more project-based things. Maybe that means a womenswear line sometime.”
Considering his successful previous work with Burberry, the designer knows no limits to what can possibly be next. If his last contributions are any indications for his potential as a designer, the anticipations begin as for what is next for Rubchinskiy.
