Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa release summer banger “One Kiss”

One kiss is all it takes

Calvin Harris is heading for No. 1.

Just the other day, Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa subtly announced that they would be collaborating on a new track together.

The track entitled “One Kiss” is available now and it’s a serious contender for the summer’s first major dance track.

The song opens with Dua Lipa singing the chorus as the beat comes from the background quietly, similar to a voicemail at a loud party, before it comes in louder and gives way to a synth-y dance beat. It pulses with energy.

One kiss is all it takes
Fallin’ in love with me
Possibilities
I look like all you need

Dua Lipa agrees and proclaimed on social media that she hopes it makes fans “wanna dance till your heart’s content!” MTV reports.

“One Kiss” has romantic lyrics that are conditional: not long-lasting love, but love for tonight. Dua Lipa sings over the beat,

Let me take the night, I love real easy
And I know that you’ll still wanna see me
On the Sunday morning, music real loud
Let me love you while the moon is still out

The track is the second release for Calvin Harris this year. He previously released “Nuh Ready Nuh Ready” with PartyNextDoor.

It wouldn’t be a surprise if “One Kiss” topped the charts as Harris has managed to carve out a place for himself in the pop/dance arena by collaborating with some of the top acts.

He has collaborated with Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine, Disciples and Ellie Goulding on both 2013’s “I Need Your Love” and 2014’s smash “Outside.”

His song “This Is What You Came For” featuring Rihanna topped the charts as one of the hottest songs of 2017.

It’s not clear whether or not this is off of a yet-to-be-announced album or similar to “This Is What You Came For,” it’s a singular track.

Keep up with music at Salute.
