A Perfect Circle Drops new single “So Long, Thanks for all the Fish”

Sentimental and Sarcastic?

A Perfect Circle drops new song just in time for the new album release.

The much anticipated new album from A Perfect Circle Eat the Elephant drops on Friday, April 20th, and they are ramping up by releasing a new single entitled “So Long, Thanks for All the Fish.” The new song is a bit different for the band who are known for their often melancholy and intense sound. Although it is about paying tribute to old friends who were lost, the music is surprisingly upbeat in tone compared to the other songs that have been released from the upcoming album. Lead singer, Maynard James Keenan had this to say about the new track.

“We all cope with the absurd in our own manner. The Italian side of me produces and shares wine with friends in order to feel grounded and connected in the midst of all the madness. But once the wine is gone, the drunk and sarcastic Irish side of me goes straight for the unreasonable jugular. #comedyfirstandalways”

The last song they released from the album a little over two months ago already has more than 2.9M streams on Spotify. It is safe to say that fans of the band are more than ready to hear the rest of what the group has in store for the masses this Friday.

The band made their Coachella debut on Sunday performing several of the songs from the new album including “TalkTalk,” “Eat The Elephant” and “So Long, Thanks for all the Fish” but if you weren’t at Coachella, you didn’t get to see it. Unlike other artists who were live streamed on the events YouTube Channel, A Perfect Circle, as well as Eminem, were not shown, much to the dismay of the fans.

If you missed the band at Coachella, you are in luck; they will be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! On Monday, April 23, 2018.

In addition to their upcoming performance on Jimmy Kimmel, they will be hosting a live Q&A via their https://twitter.com/jamesmcgarvey3/status/985595664401817601Facebook page this Thursday, April 19th at 7:15 Pacific on the eve of the album release.
