Dexter‘s Michael C. Hall returns in Netflix‘s new series, Safe.
Michael C. Hall returns in a new drama for Netflix titled, Safe. Safe is a series created by crime author Harlan Coben. The series is a co-production between Canal+ and Netflix, with C8 airing the show in France, and Netflix streaming the show internationally outside France.
Along with Hall, the series stars Amanda Abbington, Hannah Arterton, Louis Greatorex, Raj Paul, and Joplin Sibtain. The first season is slated to run a full eight episodes. Here is the synopsis of Netflix’s Safe:
After his teenage daughter goes missing, widowed surgeon Tom Delaney (Michael C. Hall) begins unearthing dark secrets about the people closest to him. Safe arrives May 10th.
The trailer begins with a voiceover describing an upscale gated community. Everyone can see who comes in and who goes out. Everyone appears to know each other. Tom Delaney (Michael C. Hall) is seen washing dishes as his daughter; Jenny runs off to school.
Cut to his daughter dancing at a house party. Tom is shocked when he calls his daughter on her cell phone and never picks up. Tom glances at Jenny’s empty bedroom distraught. When the morning comes, Tom’s daughter is still nowhere to be found. His calls go straight to her voicemail.
Tom refuses to wait around the house any longer and begins questioning people in the neighborhood about the disappearance of his daughter. Tom tracks his last known whereabouts to the home of the party and demands answers.
When the authorities get involved, it becomes the biggest story in the community. It is revealed that Jenny’s disappearance could be connected to a rash of other disappearances. As Tom’s quest to find his daughter begins, he assumes everyone in the community to be a possible suspect.
It soon becomes painfully clear that Tom can no longer trust anyone around him.
Safe hits the program queue May 10th, 2018.
