Chvrches will not back down from a fight easily in their newly-released music video for single “Miracle”.
In support of their latest single “Miracle” Chvrches drop the visuals for the track depicting a chaotic outbreak surrounding leading lady Lauren Mayberry as she struggles to find an escape amid a hazy midst during a combat battle.
The Warren Fu directed-clip is very reminiscent of Paramore’s “Now”, which he also stylized in similar manner. Despite it being done before, the display is very fitting with the lyrics and booming sounds the song radiates as the video follows a dazed out Mayberry wandering through the smog as a riot breaks loose causing mass destruction from all angles surrounding her.
Becoming pushed and shoved, Mayberry doesn’t fall victim to the violence of what appears to be a helter-skelter as smokey explosions go off and other’s take a sucker-punch to the face and then falling unconscious.
Instead the video is self-explanatory which shows that even during the darkest of moments a miracle may seem hard to find (which is mentioned in the lyrics), but at the end of the day there is always a light in the clearing to seek safety through it all.
In other news, as the days approach closer to the release of Chvrches third album Love Is Dead (out May 25) they also recently announced that they will embark on a North American Tour set to takeoff in September.
Tickets for The North American dates for the upcoming tour will go on sale this Friday, April 27 at 10:00 a.m. via Chvrches official website.
A dollar will be taken from all proceeds made to benefit Girls Rock Camp Alliance found here.
Keep up with music at Salute.
