Stargate calls into Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show to premiere newly-released track “1Night”
Norwegian production duo Stargate consisting of Mikkel Storleer Eriksen and Tor Erik Hermansen recently called into Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 radio show Wednesday morning (April 25), where they were eager to share their latest hit single “1Night,” featuring hip-hop all-stars 21 savage, PARTYNEXTDOOR and Murda Beatz, who all jumped on-board the project without any further questions asked.
On speaking about the hip-hop cornucopia with Lowe’s radio producers, Hermansen dished out the spicy details admitting that it was an honor to recruit such an A-1 team to work on their latest banging track. He was particularly praising 21 Savage saying:
“Even though there’s some darkness in his lyrics, there’s also a sense of humor and playfulness to a lot of his punchlines. We knew this kid had something special.
He works on hip-hop time which is after midnight, and we work on like, two grown men family time. We actually never met. We gave him the beat, he did his verse, sent it back to us, and we put it on the record.”
As the conversation continues on, Hermansen gets more personal stating that their love for hip-hop at an early age was their motivation towards a life-long dream back on their home turf.
Now that the pair are paving a name for themselves in America and producing new records, it’s nothing more than a dream turned reality.
Stargate also gives an applause to Murda Beatz, on the line who they described as one who creates the “dopest drum sounds in the world.”
