PUMA partners with Fossil group to launch smartwatch

PUMA has announced their collaboration with Fossil group manufacture and launch smartwatches and wearables in 2019. The sports brand has signed a 10-year agreement with Fossil group to introduce PUMA watch collection to the market.

With many of their consumers being athletics, PUMA is considering the fast-paced life of an athlete. “Time makes or breaks athletes, which is why the right partner for watches and wearables is particularly critical to our brand,” stated Bjørn Guldren, chief executive officer of Puma,

“We are pleased to team up with Fossil Group, whose strong focus on innovation will help us make products that fit the needs of our consumers and the world’s fastest athletes.”

Both brands are to collaborate on design and development, but Fossil will oversee the distribution as it will be available in their stores and e-commerce channels. With its expansion in collaborations, Fossil’s agenda contains to design touch screen watches with brands like Misfit, Michael Kors, Diesel, and Fossil itself. As one of the world’s leading sports brands, it’s likely PUMA’s new accessory will be the finishing touch for the perfect athleisure aesthetic on a look.
