Shawn Mendes announces massive self-titled arena tour

Bigger and better tour

Touring is in Shawn Mendes’s blood.

Ahead of his sophomore album’s release, “In My Blood” singer Shawn Mendes took to Twitter to announce his first ever self-titled arena tour.

The tour will kick off next March in Amsterdam before snaking its way across Europe before coming to a short break mid-April in the UK.

After said break, the tour will resume again on June 12th in Portland, OR and will traverse the United States before coming to a close on August 24th at the Barclay’s Center in Brooklyn, NY.

“Shawn Mendes: The Tour” marks the first tour of this magnitude for the singer. He has played large radio shows, but has stuck to clubs and smaller venues thus far in his career.

This is the first time he will be playing to arena-sized venues across Europe and North America.

The tour is in support of his upcoming, self-titled third album that will be released on May 25th.

As Billboard reports, the singer has already released three singles including “Lost in Japan,” “Youth” in collaboration with Khalid and “In My Blood” which has been burning up the charts since its release.

Fans looking to gain access to the presale will need to sing up through Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program or purchase a merch bundle from the singer’s website.

No further ticket info has been released at this time. Mendes also tweeted letting fans know that more dates will be released over time.
