Jewelry company Lulu DK and Instagram influencer Danielle Bernstein have teamed up for a jewelry collection sold exclusively at Nordstrom. The fashion blogger has incorporated her enthusiastic personality in a trendy and affordable collection of jewelry pieces.
Bernstein’s jewelry capsule consists of indie jewelry, consisting of simplistic necklaces and hoop earrings with Hamsa hands and evil eye designs. The collection features 27 pieces, consisting of pendant necklaces with rose details and mismatched drop earrings, decorated as a moon and stars. Debuting horizontal bar necklaces and cross disc pendants, the Lulu DK pieces consisted of gold delicate features with symbols interpreting symbols and empowering words. Though after the launch, some disagreed with Bernstein’s originality in her collection.
Bernstein was accused of knocking off jewelry brands with the same indie concept as the new capsule collection. The jewelry line Foundrae was the first to share the disappointment over Bernstein’s pieces and her designs. Foundrae shared a post, captioning, “This is not Foundrae. This is a costume line that #daniellebernstein of @weworewhat made for Nordstrom with the help of @lulu_dk. All complete copies.” Later on, Instagram account, @diet_prada called out Bernstein’s collection by sharing a similarity post, comparing the collection to other jewelry brands and their designs.
Bernstein later apologized via Instagram story and promised to pull the pieces that were accused of similarities. Nordstrom agreed to run the collection as long as Bernstein specific pieces that were encountering issues over being duplicated. Though the accusations took place right after the launch, Bernstein’s fans can agree to take drastic measures such as remove certain pieces, was a respectable decision.
The remaining of the collection retails from $55 to $88 and is available now on Nordstrom.com.
