Lil Baby and Drake are living the good life.
After teasing the track recently, Lil Baby and Drake have finally released their collaboration “Yes Indeed.”
“Yes Indeed,” which was originally entitled “Pikachu,” was previewed last week at a nightclub in Atlanta during a party presumably for Drake’s birthday, XXL Mag reports.
Drake could be seen bopping along to the track about living the good and successful life. He opens the song rapping,
Booked for three years, man you can’t even book me
It’s me and Lil Baby, this shit goin’ crazy
Wheezy produced it and Weezy F. made me
And she held it down, so she got a Mercedes
Young Money Records, the Army, the Navy
They ran me ten thousand, I threw it like Brady
The foreign is yellow like Tracee and K.D
Based on those lyrics, it would seem that Drake’s mentor Lil Wayne produced the track, though that fact has never been definitively stated by any of the artists involved.
Lil Baby continues to express his enjoyment on the chorus of what his hard work has yielded.
Brand new whip got no keys
Tailor my clothes, no starch please
Soon as I nut, you can gon’ leave
Got M’s in the bank, like: “Yes, indeed”
The track has a simple beat that stays static throughout. It allows both rapper’s styles to shine and stand strong.
However, it is unclear where “Yes Indeed” will land as both artists have new releases on the horizon.
Lil Baby will be releasing Harder Than Ever which is set to be released on May 18th while Drake will be releasing his highly anticipated album Scorpion sometime in June.
Keep up with music at Salute.
