The Japanese streetwear label BAPE is back with their Spring/Summer 2018 menswear collection. The latest capsule brings forth the brand’s legendary graphics, including traditional camouflage prints, a new version of the label’s shark graphic, and the iconic logo but with a retro colorful twist.
The assortment features a laidback feel while still being cutting edge. Featuring a simple branded baseball jersey, a camouflage printed kimono with a unisex feel to it, tie-dye shorts with the new shark graphic laid out on the back, and a striking yellow and black half-zip hoodie.
Additionally, the range offers numerous different outerwear pieces showcasing simple bomber jackets with colorful prints or daring pattern hoods, a vivid blue long jacket, numerous hoodies with bold graphics on them and an electric blue patted jacket with the words “Crew,” Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” and “World Gone Mad” displayed on the back.
Perhaps the most striking piece is a daring half florescent yellow and half camouflage hood jacket that stole the show.
The line is currently available online and in select stores.
This new line is the perfect example of how meticulous yet aware of upcoming trends BAPE has become over the years. The label is set to release a few other collections in upcoming months.
