Black Friday is upon us! Just remember while you’re shopping, don’t be a jerk.

One of the biggest shopping days of the year is Black Friday, or Black Thursday since many retailers are now starting their in-store sales on Thanksgiving day. We all know the drill; everyone comes out in droves to get the best prices on the most coveted items.
Whether they be televisions, household items, or luxury wares one thing is for sure; people act like jerks when there is a major sale.
In America, Black Friday might as well be the holiday instead of Thanksgiving. Shouting, pushing, shoving, snatching, and trampling are all things that have been happening and seen by everyone now that the internet is so accessible.
We all love a sale, I know I do, but all of the insane antics are not necessary. In the wealthiest country in the world, it would be nice to see people actually be thankful on the day of “giving thanks” rather than pushing and trampling things they can get for just as a good of a deal as they would sitting in their house and ordering online on Cyber Monday.
Thanksgiving is about being thankful for your family, health, wealth, and happiness. Being gracious and caring to those you know and others who you don’t should be what we aim to do all the time, but if you believe in it, this day is one of the most important days to show those attributes.
So while you’re out and about, buying all of your new shiny things, please remember to be kind and thankful for what you do have. If you’re one of the people who doesn’t have the tolerance or patience to interact other people respectfully, do us all a favor and shop in your pajamas online Monday.
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!!
