Halsey and Lil Yachty become superheroes in ‘Teen Titans GO!’ movie

Superheroes are taking over Hollywood.

Emerging from behind the recording studio straight to the big screen…

It’s been officially announced that the beloved childhood show Teen Titans Go!  Will turn to the big screen for their grand debut set for this upcoming summer on July 27.

The 2013 animated TV series is a follow-up to the popular Teen Titans that follows the ordinary lives of some of DC’s favorite superheroes such as Robin, Starfire, Raven, Beast Boy and Cyborg that are constantly caught up in a string of comical situations.

Between saving the world and goofing off without the hawk eye of adult supervision, the gang has evolved into a relevant part of superhero enthusiasts lives worldwide.

However, in order to make the film that much more exciting, Teen Titans Go! to the Movies went straight to the music charts to cast parts to some of the most popular musicians to date.

As of now fan favorites such as Halsey, and Lil Yachty are the first two to unveil their roles as Wonder Woman and Green Latern. The pair will lend their voices over to the forthcoming animated film, and fans are already ecstatic. An abundance of more music artists are also expected to overtake the roles of some of the characters as well.

Long-time superman fan and Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage earned the role as the animated series’ man of steel, which he couldn’t be happier about.

In the late 1990’s Cage was expected to portray superman for director Tim Burton but in an unfortunate turn of events the project in the making was scrapped to the side. Not letting the role slip from his fingers again, makes this the perfect opportunity for the actor to redeem himself.

In the official teaser trailer for the movie Robin pulls the reins of the gang straight to Hollywood where they search for big-name superheroes that people find inspiration in, where they then bump into Kristen Bell who plays the Hollywood director who helps the Teen Titans land their big break.

Jam packed with heroic shenanigans, hysterical commentary, and comic book references the film caters to all ages.

Other actors who make up the all-star cast are Scott Menville as Robin, Khary Payton as Cyborg, Hynden Walch as Starfire, Greg Cipes as Beast Boy and Tara Strong as Raven, also joined by Will Arnett.

Keep up with music at Salute.
