Mahmud Asrar is credited with stunning artwork with numerous titles featured in Justice League of America, Invincible, and All-New X-Men. He specializes in elements of realism and basic line work. Simple imagery will have a complex effect on the overall tone of the story.

The X-Men Red story will have the legendary Jean Grey resurrected to become the leader of a new team of X-Men. The bold new direction comes from head writer Tom Taylor. Team Red will connect with fellow teams and story arcs being the X-Men of teams Gold and Blue.

Taylor tells Newsarama his excitement and what to expect from the new X-Men title comic book.

“The time is right for an X-Men book like this, and I’m very excited about the story we’re telling in these pages. I’m excited for Jean Grey’s vision for the world, and I can’t wait for Marvel readers to meet our team of established fan-favorites and brand new mutants, and to see them in action. To write a core X-Men book is to walk in the footsteps of giants, so I’m hoping my secret mutant ability is sudden foot-growth.”

Comic book fans everywhere will be happy to see the true Jean Grey return. She will push the dreams of Charles Xavier saving mutant kind while saving the world. X-Men Red reaches stores come next year February 7th, 2018.
