Whether the luxury brand Marchesa can survive the sexual misconduct allegations against co-founder Georgina Chapman’s estranged husband, Harvey Weinstein: remains unclear. The label has officially pulled out of New York Fashion Week’s February runway show.

This will mark the first time the brand will not be showcasing a new collection during the anticipated week-long event.

While the label will not have a typical show, it will be unveiling a Fall 2018 collection in a new format. The new format has yet to be announced.

Since the scandal Marchesa has had a bridal collection presentation and released pre-fall 2018 lookbooks on their website and social media accounts.

The brand has also been notably absent from red carpets this award season, which is rare for the label as celebrities have religiously worn Marchesa throughout the years.

Chapman and Weinstein’s divorce was settled early January, she is due to receive $15-$20 million.
