Okeechobee Festival Announces Its Biggest Lineup Ever

The Little Festival That Could… and did.

Four Days at Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, Florida
(March 1 – March 4, 2018)

omf18-lineup-11x17_1400px-828x1280When festival producers Steve Sybesma and Paul Peck created Soundslinger LLC, they set out to bring the wonderment and freedom of a large-scale music and arts festival, similar to Bonnaroo or Coachella, to the 600-acre property known as Sunshine Grove in Okeechobee, Florida.

The inaugural three-day music festival drew a crowd of approximately 32,000 and featured such big-name artists as Mumford & Sons, Kendrick Lamar, FutureSkrillexRobert Plant, Darryl Hall, John Oates, Joey Bada$$ and more. However, according to Billboard, the original festival producers stepped down in October 2016, after claiming they had “philosophical differences” with the landowner/company co-founder, Cliff Rosen.

Of course, this did not stop the festival from growing. They even added an extra day to cater to its already expanding lineup. This past year, the Okeechobee Festival featured Kings of Leon, Usher, The Roots, Rae Sremmurd, Solange, Pretty Lights, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Young the Giant, Wiz Khalifa, Blood Orange, Griz and many more.

Now, after yet another successful year it would appear that the festival has finally achieved the “Coachella” like atmosphere it desired. The lineup for its 2018 Okeechobee Music & Arts Festival will feature two-sets from Bassnectar (who has been performing at Okeechobee since its inception), Arcade Fire, Halsey, Travis Scott, Khalid, Foster The People, Leon Bridges, The Flaming Lips, Zeds Dead, Slightly Stoopid, Tipper, Big Gigantic, Sound Tribe Sector 9 (STS9), Local Natives, Gramatik, Illenium, Blackbear, Thievery Corporation, Tycho, Sylvan Esso, Judah & The Lion, Lettuce, Twiddle, Son Little, Turkuaz, Chicano Batman, Too Many Zooz, Kyle, Misterwives, Sofi Tukker, Magic!, Billie Eilish, Ganja White Night, Boogie T and Dirt Monkey, Jai Wolf, G Jones, Big Wild, Denzel Curry, Pouya, Quinn XCII, Allah-Las, Nightmares on Wax, The Main SqueezeCory Henry and the Funk Apostles, and many more to come.
